  • After earning her bachelor of arts in elementary education with a minor in chemistry from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago, Suzana Ustabecir matriculated at Chicago’s National Louis University to obtain a master of education in administration and supervision and to complete the Principal Leadership Preparation Program through the New Leaders for New Schools initiative. Over the course of her career with the Chicago Public Schools, Suzana Ustabecir has served tenures as a middle-grade math and science teacher, a magnet-cluster lead teacher, a resident/assistant principal, a principal, and an administrator. Since September of 2016, she has served the Chicago Public Schools as an instructional effectiveness specialist.

    When she isn’t working, Suzana Ustabecir is an avid cook, who particularly enjoys Greek cuisine, and an avid baker, who concentrates primarily on desserts. She is also a frequent world traveler and has visited multiple European countries. Her favorite global destinations include the cities of Dubrovnik, Croatia, and Vienna, Austria.
